William Marr

January 6, 1943 — May 27, 2016

STRUTHERS - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at noon at Christ Our Savior, St. Nicholas Church for William "Billy" Marr, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 27, 2016, with his loved ones by his side.

William "Billy" Marr was born the only living child to Pedro Marr and Mary (Reto) Marr on Jan. 6, 1943, in Alexandria, La.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, at which time his cousins, Jackie (Kevin Sr.) Stout, took care of him like their own child for years, along with her deceased mother, Antonette (Larry) Barber and their children, Amber (Eddie) Bonilla, Kevin (Lauren) Stout Jr. and Eric (fiancee Alexa) Stout, within their home. Billy was also like an uncle to Antonio and Ellianna Bonilla.

William "Billy" was employed with Bev Road Masco for several years working on a variety of assembly jobs, however working was not Billy's favorite thing to do. He loved to walk throughout his neighborhood to tell old stories to family and friends, bowl for the Special Olympics, draw, sing Elvis Presley songs, play slot machines, collect belt buckles, hats, and 49ers memorabilia, and visiting all his favorite restaurants.

In addition to his immediate family, that he resided with, he leaves behind his aunts, Fannie Marr of Niles and Viola Marr of Struthers; an uncle, Jimmy (Rosane) Marr of Struthers; and numerous cousins.

Billy's genuine love of friends and family came out in his unique nicknames he would give to everyone he truly loved like "Jabroni," Kristina Vecchione and "Beautiful," Casie Tournoux. Summer parties and birthday parties at the Belleria in Struthers with "Twin Brother" Uncle George Guarnieri and their family, he looked forward to every year!

William "Billy" was always amazed at the work our police officers do on a daily basis. He loved to see the smiles on children's faces, therefore his family has decided that in lieu of flowers, Billy would have been thrilled to have you make a donation to, Struthers Shop with a Cop.

Family and friends may call Wednesday from 11 a.m. to noon at the church.

Professional arrangements are being handled by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel.

"Love me tender, love me sweet, never let me go, you have made my life complete, and I love you so... - Elvis Presley."
